Teacher Resources for Phonemic Awareness using Word Families
Teaching word families as part of phonemic awareness is a vital component of reading development. We offer teacher resources for teaching word families developed
to help students build early phonics skills by teaching children to recognize
'families" of words that share the same spelling patterns. These skills
help children decode new words with ease and support reading fluency. I have put together a nice selection of highly effective teaching aids to teach this important skill.
