Timberworks Toys’ versatility gives our sets a distinct advantage over traditional log construction sets. Our sets take the interlocking nature of other log sets to a new level, allowing for vertical components, reinforcing structures, and wheels. However, our pieces have surfaces that are flat, so they may also be used as stacking blocks. Because of this feature, builders of varying ages and levels of experience will enjoy engaging with our wood construction sets. From basic block towers to sophisticated covered bridges, there are Timberworks Toys creations to suit junior engineers at many stages. A young child will be capable of stacking the pieces--and, as she grows, so will her ability to unlock the full potential of our sets.

A natural food grade finish can be wiped on your wooden parts to minimize the effects of children's sticky little fingers. A salad bowl finish with beeswax would be ideal. Do not use petroleum based chemicals or oils. If you use a cutting board oil be prepared to let it air dry for a few days. The most harmful thing for your toy is water. Do not use your toy outside. Do not spray the toy with anti-bacterial sprays or harsh detergents. Wood has natural anti-bacterial properties. One of the natural characteristics of wood is that it can absorb moisture. A controlled environment is key to the preservation of your toy. Following these guidelines will help ensure that your natural log set will give you many years of enjoyment.
