Help Your Teen Explore Career Paths

What do you want to be when you grow up? In the teenage years, your child will start thinking more seriously about career paths. By age sixteen, if your child is enrolled in a special education program, you will be asked to help develop a transition plan for him. For middle and high school students, transition usually focuses on life after high school. If your child is undecided, she's not alone. Taking that first step down that path toward an unknown future is both exciting and a bit scary. A new online career interest tool can help.

Junior Achievement, DeVry University, and Career Corner Digital have developed an online career interest inventory and career exploration site that can help your child explore her interests and learn more about potential jobs. The site features a Kuder Interest Inventory, videos about jobs and more. Check it out here.
